For my Grandad
I look back in fondness everyday,
At the joyful times we had,
No one else could be so special,
As my wonderful Grandad.
You carried me as a child,
And held onto my hand.
You nurtured and treasured me everyday,
And taught me how to stand.
Grandads are like no one else,
And you really were the best,
And even though this sadness aches,
It is time for you to rest.
But I want you to hear me Grandad,
Although you’re out of sight,
I’ll use the lessons that you taught,
Forever, my guiding light.

Some of The best memories I have were with Mr Forrest and his Lizbeth, I will be forever grateful for the love and belly laughter we shared, I still look back so fondly.... I'll always catch that Grenade for you Dave x
